The government is taking increasing measures against the Coronavirus. We are working according to the guidelines of the RIVM, which means that we also have to further adjust our services. You can read what this entails below:
Our Woonwinkel is closed, unless you have an appointment with one of our employees
You can easily arrange many things via this website. During office hours you can also call us on 040 - 243 43 43. Thank you for your understanding.
We only carry out emergency repairs
Do you have an emergency repair? Call us via: 040 243 43 43.
If an employee of Woonbedrijf (or one of our suppliers) visits you at home, all measures instated by the government apply. For example, they will wear a facemask and will keep a social distance of 1.5 meters at all times.
Please note: if you (or any of your co-residents) suffer from corona symptoms or health complaints, the appointment must be rescheduled. Please contact us to do so.
With emergency repairs, we refer to locking yourself out of your home, gas and water leaks. Other requests, such as outside doors that no longer open or close, no electricity in the house or repairs that can be carried out in open air or public spaces, can also be carried out in some cases.
We will not come to your home unless absolutely necessary
Safety comes first during appointments. Some guidelines:
Under normal circumstances, we would pay you a visit you if you've cancelled your lease, and we would also attend viewings with you. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible, which is why we have made changes to our process:
Do you want to cancel your lease?
We can inspect the premises by telephone using video calling technology (facetime, whatsapp or skype). This way you can show us what the place looks like (without our needing to visit). We will then explain to you how the process will go forward. We will also discuss whether you are leaving anything for the new tenant. After the telephone appointment, you will receive an inspection report. Once the premises is empty, you must return the key to our 'Woonwinkel' (housing office).
Vestide will then carriy out a final inspection of the premises and check whether the premises is ready for the new tenant. Repairs are carried out where necessary.
We will then call the new resident to make an appointment to collect the key from our Woonwinkel. We then call the new resident to ask if everything has been handed over in a satisfactory manner and if there are any questions.
Are you looking for a place and are you allowed to visit?
We conduct registrations by telephone. You will be asked to email the necessary documents to us. The first person interested may visit the place. No Vestide employee will be present. You can collect the key, by appointment only, from our Woonwinkel. The place will already be empty by then. After the viewing you must return the key to our Woonwinkel.
If you decide to take the place, we will send you the rental contract by email. You will sign this and return it to us. You will then be able to pick up your key (by appointment only) from our Woonwinkel.
We will contact you to ask if everything went well and we'll explain the installations to you remotely.
If the vacating tenant has left things behind, we will send you this individual's contact details so that you can coordinate this together.
As a landlord, Vestide has no leading role in the corona virus. That role is for the GGD. We follow the strict measures and instructions they set. If you show symptoms of the virus and have a minimum fever of 38.5 degrees celcius: stay inside. We advise you to contact the doctor immediately by telephone. If necessary, you will be referred to the GGD.
Even though we are not in "the lead", we find it important to know how you are doing. Because the GGD is not allowed to pass on information to us due to privacy legislation, we would like to ask you to inform us if you are (possibly) infected and have been in contact with the GGD. We would also like to ask you to advise this to housemates in the same situation. We would like to emphasize that this is not mandatory, but based on recent experience, we hope that with a little more information we can support the GGD and you better. You can do this by calling us.
Hygiene measures
Naturally, the general regulations of the GGD apply:
Extra attention to hygiene of "contact surfaces" is also an important measure that you can take against viruses. This concerns, for example, table surfaces, keyboards and door handles. We advise you to pay extra attention to this in your own environment. Vestide has instructed the cleaning companies to pay extra attention in the common areas to door handles, lift knobs and banisters.
General information about the coronavirus can be found at https://www.rivm.nl/en/novel-coronavirus-covid-19
We understand that, given the current circumstances, you can feel uncertain about your income. For students who may not be able to pay their rent, due to the consequences of the Coronavirus, it is possible (under certain conditions) to apply for a postponement of the rent payment and make a payment arrangement with us. For this you can call us on 0031 (0)40 - 243 43 43.
If you have cancelled your lease or have been offered a new home, you can return or collect the keys in our Woonwinkel in consultation with our employee (keys are only collected by appointment).
If you have an emergency repair (such as a gas leak or you are locked out due to a broken lock), then please call us and we will repair it. All non-urgent repairs will be postponed until the measures regarding the Coronavirus no longer apply.
Already scheduled repair requests have been cancelled: a new appointment will be made later.
Take care, and we wish those who are sick a speedy recovery. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
