TENANCY AGREEMENT FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD
What is in your tenancy agreement depends on the type of accommodation you are renting from us. We will send you your tenancy agreement by e-mail before signing. So you can take your time and read it first.
LENGTH OF A TENANCY
Unfortunately, our time together will end eventually. Once you're no longer registered as a full-time student in Eindhoven, you will have to notify us of this within a month. We will then terminate your tenancy. You can stay on for at least 3 more months. Plus, we'll give you an extra bonus month for each full year you've rented with us, so it can be up to 6 months in total.
ANNUAL CONTROL
We check annually whether you are still studying. If we see that you are no longer studying, we will determine the end date of your contract. Attention! Do you live on Haven (Blauwe Loper)?? Then the condition applies that you must be a full-time student or PhD student at TUe campus.
SHORTSTAY (ALL-IN) CONTRACT & TEMPORARY LEASES
For our furnished rentals, we have shortstay all-in contracts, for a fixed period, so that you can at least stay the whole semester; especially for Exchange students. We keep the rooms reserved especially for that purpose, so you cannot cancel such a contract mid-term. For other international students and PhD students we use temporary contracts, in which we agree on an end date in advance. The rooms and apartments are reserved, renewal is not possible.
LIVING TOGETHER ON YOUR TENANCY AGREEMENT
Do you live together and one of you stops studying? Sometimes you can stay in your apartment, sometimes you can't. It's like this:
There is always a main tenant. That's who signed the lease. Did you sign the lease together or are you married? Then the other is the co-tenant. A co-tenant is actually the same as a main tenant. If one of you stops studying but the other is still studying, you can stay.
If the other person joined later or you are not on the contract together, then the second person is the resident. If the main tenant no longer studies, you both have to move.
